Extended Programs
At Wellington Hall, students can transition to study hall after school is dismissed at 3:30, to continue quiet homework and reading time under the care and supervision of our after-school teachers. This offers parents the option to pick up their child later if necessary.
Teachers help students complete homework, learn strategies to stay motivated, and get extra practice in weak subjects. At 5:00 p.m., these students have something that many don’t – free time! Study hall is available at Wellington Hall Academy on a pay-for-service basis Monday to Thursday. After-school care can be arranged by standing arrangement or on short notice.
Special Programs
Immersive Arts
We believe that studying the arts and fostering creative expression is essential in the education of young people. We ensure that each child has a strong foundation in basic skills, but we also provide arts instruction and opportunities that go far beyond that found in typical JK-8 schools. Our art, music, and drama teachers are highly skilled and experienced, and instruction in these areas is of a very high quality.
Environmental Sciences
Students at WHA will receive a strong foundation in the fundamental sciences – biology, chemistry, and physics – through a hands-on program focusing on agriculture and environmental stewardship. Through this program, students will better understand global food supply, environmental issues, and the real-life application of science and technology in agriculture. This program is integrated across all grades.
Online Learning
The WHA staff understands the complexities of life. Whether there are global issues preventing us from being on sight, your family is travelling, or you simply want to home school with the support of a school – we provide high quality online learning exciting, accessible, and social.
